I got sponsored!
I recently got my first sponsor which is one of the most exciting things that has happened to me in my career. I am still at high school and my parents pay most of my expenses, so last year when I made the nationals in my grade for water polo I decided to start approaching some local businesses to see if they could help. Actually I started with companies I found online which was a bit optimistic, I tried wheatbix and redbak and some others but at my level I didn’t have much of a shot, but i figure at least I have my name out there, perhaps when I’m kicking ass for Australia they will go ohh, that’s the girl that applied for sponsorship back in 2008! Haha, I hope so. I know sponsorship isn’t always to get so I’m really excited!
