Tree Nut Allergy Often Mistaken For A Peanut Allergy

Hypersensitive individuals allergic to dietary products from tree nuts can develop tree nut allergy. Dried fruits cause tree nut allergy; peanut allergy is caused by different kinds of legumes. Tree nuts include all nuts grown on trees and tree nut allergy is very common and can be life threatening. Nuts are found in candy bars, chocolates, drinks, cereals and other sweets; children especially will need to be careful what they eat.  Common tree nut allergy symptoms include eczema, rashes, itching, swelling, inflammation and hives and quickly these symptoms can become progressively worse. If more than four of these symptoms are experienced by a child, a trip to your doctor is in order. And parents need to read the labels in food items to find those hidden nuts that may trigger tree nut allergy.
