Concrete Driveways in the Twin Cities are Cheaper to Maintain

For the longest time I have wondered why it is that so many places feel like they are getting a great deal when they have their drives paved with asphalt. Why is it that they don’t think about the costs in the long term sense? Don’t they realize that you are going to regularly have to resurface an asphalt driveway? Can’t they understand that because asphalt is softer, that concrete driveways in the Twin Cities would be far more cost effective? I just don’t understand why they don’t do more research other than the initial cost, and look into the long term costs of upkeep.
