Photographing Hopewell Rocks
Along the coast of New Brunswick, Canada is one of the most fascinating places I have ever visited. At Hopewell Rocks the tides will rise and fall between 32 and 46 feet about every six hours or so. For a nature photographer it is a world of opportunities. When the tide is at its lowest point tall rock formations called flower pots are exposed. These flower pots and the cliffs along the shore line are older than the Appalachian Mountains. Atop these formations are tall pie trees and shrubs. There are caves to explore. I only wish I could have been there at sunrise when the tide was low. An image of the sun shining through one of the rock formation openings would have been intriguing.
